WI2506
Tonight my kid came home from school and told us about a boy her age (16) had went to school the previous day with a hand gun..A friend of the kid finally told someone after all day knowing the kid was packing a pistol. This school is small and country. The kid now is suppose to be in jail and things are under control--from the principals view of things anyway--so here we sit with The bigger question what was he thinking? Guest Andrea
Re: My kids school This is a widespread epidemic. Thankfully the kid's in jail and no one got shot. I hate hearing stories like this. ( There's been 3 shootings in less than a week) Makes me wanna yank my boys out of school and teach them at home. lil hunter
Re: My kids school thank the lord he didn't use the gun on anyone. Theres a lotta of stupid people doing stupid things at schools these days. if that guy made it the whole day before anyone did anything about a pistol, imagine how many people could be carryin around pocket knives on a daily basis, and not getting caught? WI2506
Re: My kids school I would really like to hear from a few psycologist and see what their opinions are on this stuff.. I also think maybe my grandfather says its all about the lack of a woodshed out back.. But my wife says its got to be the lack of parenting. Guest Dust
Re: My kids school I'll go with the woodshed. I was more scared of what my mom or dad would do if I did something than I was of the act of doing it.
HarvDog
Re: My kids school This is not just a recent issue. I remember hearing about a lot of kids carrying at my high school in the late 80s/early 90s. Fortunately, none were used but it's still crazy! Shaun_300
Re: My kids school Wow, it sure is amazing what this world is coming to. Thank the Lord that no one was injured or killed, and it's good that he's behind bars where he belongs. There is no need for people like this in the streets and schools of innocent people. Newarcher
Re: My kids school Charge the owner of the gun for letting a kid get the gun! Make it a felony and these irresponsible morons will start locking up their guns. Charge the kid as well and make the penalty have some teeth. These kids get a slap on the wrist and it doesn't make kids say "uh uh, I am not doing 5 years for bringing a gun to school". So they bring them and voila, your child gets killed when they put a book in their backpacks and it goes off. New
Master_Chief
Re: My kids school Isn't the woodshed a major part used in good parenting? I always told my wife "Yes I am hard on the kids. Alot easier to do that than try and start after they are in trouble" Worked for us.

wtnhunt
Re: My kids school Really is crazy the rash of events that have taken place lately. Am really concerned about what all the media coverage is doing to promote more of these types of acts.
