Re: Quiver on or off?

I used to shoot with it off all of the time and then I switched to the Alpine Soft Loc quiver which actually quiets your bow. Nothing to rattle and it keeps my arrows at hand all of the time with minimal movement. I only have a 3 arrow quiver so it's not heavy at all.

Off, hanging within arms reach. I don't practice with it on so that's the way I hunt. I think the bow balaces a little better and it's probably a little quieter too.

I agree 100%.

[/ QUOTE ]I agree as well. I have my quiver attached to my pack. It's within arms reach when I'm up in a tree stand. Normally I don't need a follow up shot anyways. I also think that there's less vibration in the bow when I shoot w/out a quiver attached to my bow, and it makes the bow lighter so I shoot more steady when at full draw.

Re: Quiver on or off?

Since I do 95% of my hunting from a stand, I practice and sight in with my quiver off because the quiver hangs from a tree. But I make sure I practice occasionally with my quiver if I find a deer I can stalk on the ground. My sight has a level to prevent canting and throwing a shot off to the left or right. Therefore, I practice occasionally with my quiver on. When you have 3-4+ arrows hanging on the side of a bow, it can easily cant a bow which can make an arrow go left or right accordingly because the added weight tilts the bow over.
