Tom2008
I just made a new target that I can shoot my bow at. I just don't know what else to put inside of it that will be enough stopping power. I have layers of cardboard in there, but would like to put something else. Anybody have any ideas for me? Oh and we have some old phone books don't know if that is a good idea or not?

deerslayer2295
Re: Homemade Target? I know a guy who used cardboard like they make the block targets and then used a banding machine to compress it and hold the cardboard in place. It made a nice target and easy arrow removal. It surprized me how easy the arrows came out.
Guest Lever_gun450
Re: Homemade Target? I sually get bored with shooting the same target over and over. So I'll take bubble wrap or shrink wrap or something and make a ball out of it. next just wrap it in several layers of duct tape, until its a little bigger than a softball. then just throw it out and shoot it with a judo, or blunt. Works great for varying your distances and last quite a while. For stationary targets we stuff potatoe sacks full of burlap, or more sacks. They seem to work great.Good luck! ~Dave
Tom2008
Re: Homemade Target? I tried a phone book and it actually worked great. My friend's dad had about 10 of them that I have stacked inside the target now. So thanks for the replies everyone.
tclubbs2
Re: Homemade Target? I just bought some new broadheads and want to see how they fly. Would it be bad to shot them into on of the cheap styrofoam targets. I can't buy a good broadhead target just yet and had one of these given to me.
