Re: Bowlers

Yeah, we bowled in a league last year. Just don't have the time anymore though. Got a nice purpley-green bowling ball though with my name in it. cool.gif

We still go every now and then. I like it.

I was on leagues during high school. I can't handle the smoke in the bowling alleys anymore. My kids have joined the Saturday morning (smoke free) leagues a few times. It's fun to go and watch them.

The nice thing about Florida is that you can't smoke anywhere but outside, your home and in bars. grin.gif

The bowling alley used to be so smokey I couldn't stand going there.

But it sure is nice now. smirk.gif

Re: Bowlers

I bowl sometimes for fun, I was going to get into the winter league here but there was no more openings (5 pin). I'm pretty good when I can slow my arm down enough. Being 6'4", I've got pretty long arms and manage to get LOTS of power behind the ball with little effort. Usually it's airborne until it gets 3/4 of the way down the lane. blush.gifgrin.gif

I think the best I've done is 205-210. I usually bowl between 150 and 175 though. And I don't do it often so I think I'd be pretty good if I could get into a weekly league. smirk.gif

Yup, that's all we got. grin.gif

It is VERY rare to see a 10-pin bowling alley up here. Must be a Canadian thing. grin.gif

Re: Bowlers

This is the first year in the last 9 that I'm not bowling in a league. My wrist can't stand 35 weeks anymore. I've averaged between 209-211 for the last 4 years. I usually start out around 216-220 for the first 6-8 weeks and then my wrist won't let me maintain that. This year I just gave it up. I sub once in a while for my dad but that's it.
