slugshooter Posted October 6, 2006 Report Share Posted October 6, 2006 ....because tomorrow I am gonna try and quit smoking again. This is the one last real big hurdle I've got to get through. The problem is I've lost so much weight in the last few months I'm afraid of packing it back on. Even though I've worked myself back up to running just over a mile, if I wasn't smoking, I'd probably be doing 2 miles now, that, and I figure I've got better things to spend a hundred bucks a month on than cig's. Even if you pitch the computer off the deck, it's worth stopping just for your heart and lungs.... Here's a poem to help you remember we're pulling for you: Put down the smokes and you will see It feels much better to be smoke free. Bunches of reasons to put em down Cough, voice, heart, lungs, you won't frown. And just remember here at the forum We're behind you - the whole dang quorum. Have you looked into that anti-smoking shot? I have heard great things about that. Also, try finding a sucker with one of those plastic sticks....eat the sucker....keep the stick so that you don't have to endure the cravings along with the habitual urge to put that cigarette to your lips. I quit dipping Copenhagen after 15 years but then started smoking I was able to beat it all about three years ago.
