Covehnter
Anybody use one? what do ya think? Since some sob decided that they would steal mine, i've got to buy another stand on a limited college budget. What ya think? Also looked at some Ameristep stands also. Any suggestions? yooperkenny
Re: Gorilla Treestands Gorilla makes a great stand, whether you're talking fixed, climber, or ladder. Not terribly expensive either. Many guys like the net seats. They're solid and you won't be disappointed. Good Luck and sorry to hear about your stolen stand - maybe go to a climber so you can take it with you each time.

Hoyt03
Re: Gorilla Treestands From past experience here I think most people rave about the kong hang on stands they are around 100$ tho with the rest of them. Your probaly referring to the gorilla wolverine chain on they are selling at walmart for fairly cheap. I personally didnt like that one, but its def has a good price especially if people keep stealing yours. That really stinks
Guest ruffhunter
Re: Gorilla Treestands I have a 24x30 steel gorilla with the bench. very solid stand, but the bench absolutely kills my back, I go all day.
hoosierhunter
Re: Gorilla Treestands My two cents would be to buy a climber. I know this is going to hurt the pocket book at first, but trust me it's well worth it. I killed a 135 inch 8 last year that I never would have got a shot at from my fixed stands. I relocated with the climber and smacked him the first morning.
Covehnter
Re: Gorilla Treestands Yeah, i'm looking for a climbing stand b/c i'm pretty scattered as to where i'm hunting when. I didnt even know they sold Gorilla stands at Wal Mart until this evening. . . . I would love to get another API GrandSlam Supreme or a Summit Viper b/c i really like both of those but i'd have to dip a little deeper into the wallet. The back cushion on the Gorilla climber, is that a complete different piece that just fastens around the tree? Appreciate the input.

Guest DaveGP
Re: Gorilla Treestands go to dicks,,, you should be able to buy an old model viper, a while ago the sportsmans guide had the loggy bayou light stand which is 13 poungs for 100 and the climbing aid for i think like 60. well worth it, i used to climb with a one piece climber and wrapped my arms around the tree.... the heavier that stand the easier. well the loggy was the easiest to climb at only 13 pounds, unreal. i recommend it highly.
