havent made it to my private land yet, so ive been going out to the public grounds lately looking for does, and ive been seeing some good doe movement, looking for does cause you cant shoot bucks till nov. 1st, so the past 2 out of 3 nights ive been seeing this monster doe,i mean shes pushing 200lbs, but i havent been able to get a shot on her, i hunted this morning and didnt see her, but tonight went out hoping to see her again, i passed up some average does hoping to get a wack at this big one, well at 6:15 i see a her closing in from the grass field, as shes coming in i here a dang coyote, i didnt think anything of it, she kept closing in, so i stood up and waited on her, she got straight in front of me at bout 20 yards but i didnt have a shooting lane my lane was off my right a little, so she kept coming and got about 10 steps from clearing my shooting lane when she looks back and weezes, i look up and that dang coyote was behind her bout 75 yards, she gone, man was i ticked off, and now this weekend i cant get out, and knowing its public land hopefully she doesnt get shot or some hunters ruin my spot,

illinoisarher, i have never hunted national guard, its starved rock/mattheissan where im at, this is the first year ive hunted out there on public land in like 5 years i use to hunt it alot when i first started bowhunting, i know good spots for doe, the only reason im out there this year instead of at my private land, is because FINALLY this year they are gonna open the land up to bucks, and when i use to hunt out there many a years ago i seen some absolute monsters, and im out there now just scouting to see if i see any big bucks and shoot some does in the process,
