Guest Dust
Okay, I have asked a few people questions about the camera they use on here. What I am looking for is the best digital camera that will do it all. I take alot of sport action pictures as well as still pictures. I need something that will do both. Also something that takes pics fairly quick without waiting 5 to 10 seconds to record it. Would like to stay under the 400 dollar range. Anyone help me out here? smallmunster
Re: Digital Camera Not sure it is the best but I use a Panasonic FZ5. The 12x zoom and image stabilization work very well and it snaps pics off quickly. You might check www.dpreview.com for more info.
ruttinbuc
Re: Digital Camera http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Sony/sony_dsch2.asp This is a good camera in the price range you are looking for. It comes highly recommended. I have a Canon Powershot S3IS that is a few dollars more retail, but can be bought online for much less. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Canon/canon_s3is.asp
Guest Dust
Re: Digital Camera I was looking at the Canon s2 that was recommended to me, but I can't find out if it takes sport pics (good ones not blurry) and how fast it will take them. ruttinbuc
Re: Digital Camera The Canon s2 does not have a sports mode, but features a continuous shutter. The 3 does and shoots 2.3 frames a second. Both cameras have the ability to be manually controlled. You would need to learn how to use them to get the most out of them. There can be quite a learning curve.
wtnhunt
Re: Digital Camera Not the most popular brand out there, but I shoot a minolta 5D digital slr, been really happy with the camera. Being I already had lenses for a maxxum 7000 35mm that would work with this camera, the decision to stay with minolta was a bit easier for me. Digital slrs have come down in price quite a bit, might be a consideration when looking as opposed to a digital point and shoot. Butterfly photo has some great prices wheneer you do decide what you want.
KTMMIKE
Re: Digital Camera I have a Canon Powershot S2 IS & S1 IS. I love those cams. They take excellent low light pics. I use mine a lot in the treestand. Why don't you buy my S2 & I'll buy the new S3?
