buckmastermn
I decided it is finally time to invest in a good pair of long underwear that will keep me warm while sitting in my deer stand during the upcoming rifle and muzzleloader season. I hunt in MN and it can get very cold during late november and early decembr. I went to cabelas and checked out a pair of Polar Expedition-Weight Polartec® Power Dry. They look comfortable and warm but are they really worth th $40 for the top and $40 for the bottoms? If anyone has any experience or anything to add I would greatly appreciate it. Guest BigGunHunter
Re: long underwear My husband wears Under Armour, yes it's pricey, $60 for pants and $50 for shirt, but his has lasted 2 almost 3 years, he works out side during the winter, and also wears them hunting. They are very very warm.

BowtechTurkeyHunter
Re: long underwear That seems like a very reasonable price to me ... if you were to price Under Armor it would cost more then that for sure..... Steve
bulldawg
Re: long underwear Yes, they are the best investment you can make to keep you comfortable in the blistering cold temps. They also wick the sweat away, so you would still be comfortable in a warm spell. Make the purchase, you will be glad you did. Dawg

Hoosierbuck
Re: long underwear Check on eBay, they are some guys selling under armour for like $15-$20 off retail. Of course, since it's eBay, it's also "caveat emptor!" HB

Hoosierbuck
Re: long underwear Sorry bro- that's a Latin term that means "buyer beware." You got to watch out for feedback on the folks you deal with on eBay, that's all. HB

NS whitetail
Re: long underwear if you can find anything made by Helly Hansen --- you can't go wrong. http://www.redskyatnight.com/helly/hellyhansen.html Making a living on the Atlantic Ocean in the winter months can be cold and brutal. Believe me -- Helly Hansen clothing cannot be beat
doughboy1956
Re: long underwear I wear Sportsman Mid-weight Stretch Knit 1-piece Long-sleeve Body Suit from sears which costs around $40. I found with the 2 piece suit the wind would find its way to my lower back and i would end up with backaches from the cold air. I can sit in my stand all day and never get cold. Guest ivanhoehunter
Re: long underwear A few years ago i quit wearing the traditional long underwear. I started wearing the fleece type. I love them, keep me warm no matter what. Make sure they aren't baggy thought so you can put your other layers on.
