Re: Joining Team Realtree?

I don't want another club. I woud just want a Realtree Magazine that would improve over the magazines that have sold out for ad space. If we had a club with exclusive rights, then some of the stuff we get for free now would be taken away. I do not like that. That is what happened with the BASS Insider thing. I can only read the BASS website stuff with a regular membership that non-members can read. To get more than a non-member I have to spend 50 bucks mor a year. I do not want an equivilent to happen.

Do you really think that Realtree manufactures anything?

Whether the item is Hats, T-shirts, Drink Cozies, Boots, Pants, Overalls, Chairs, Curtains, Window Stickers or Decals, Bows, Rifles & Guns, some other company manufactured the item for sale.

Thanks popgun... I really didn't specify, but should have... I was referring to the merchandise in the Realtree.com store... Not all gear out there with Realtree camo! I know thats an impossible discount to give...

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

I don't honestly believe that the folks that are going to be suppling the "exclusive" insider info just had their work schedule free up so they have time to sit around and work on a computer. And really, would any info they had be so ground breaking that you would want to pay for it? I already get all the free hunting news I can handle and I have a box full of free knifes.

So without trying to offend anyone I'm going to say I have more brains than money and won't pay anything.

Not a bad idea..... I would probably join but it would probably need to be something in the line of Buckmasters. A magazine or some printable media that is mailed out wouldn't hurt. I would read it... I keep a couple of stack of mags around the house that I flip through and read often.

Also (not pushing infringement) but Buckmasters has the idea with the calls, knifes, etc. I think something more than a sticker and hat would be required. I can run down to academy sports and pick up a RT hat and RT Stickers for my truck for about $15 total. That probably wouldn't be enough to draw members.

Also, what about tacking say $10-$15 to the membership and sending out the vids to the members before they hit the shelf? I honestly thing that would be a HUGE selling point.

I know the guys get sick of signing autographs but I bet a signed photo(s) wouldn't hurt either.

For this to fly people will want to feel truly privileged.

When it boils down to it that seems like a lot to ask but there are other outdoor organizations doing it every day. Just my $.02........

Well said jeramie...I like the mag. idea too

It definately has to compare to buckmasters or nra or it will fail. Great idea!! wink.gifwink.gif

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

I like it. If done thoughtfully, it could be a great, additional side of the Realtree experience. Like others, I think there should be serious consideration given to:

...A magazine.

...An opportunity to go on a filmed hunt with one of "The Big 3" at Realtree

...A "members only" area on the website.

...Pre-release opportunities to get new DVD releases....at a discount.

...Exclusive & private Team Realtree get-togethers behind the scenes at outdoor shows attended by Realtree pro-staffers.

...A way to distinguish a paying member from someone who bought a Team Realtree hat at Wal-Mart. Maybe call it "Team Realtree Gold Membership" or something like that.

I don't see this, in any way, as a divisionary move. There are just some who consider themselves to be more serious or dedicated in their pursuit than others. Why not let those individuals be recognized if they so choose? wink.gif

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

I'm all for the membership and especially would like to see a chance to get in on a hunt with a Pro Staffer. I would like to just get to film a hunt if that would be possible. Just being there would be an exceptional experience. Even if there was a random drawing for a hunt at one of the outfitters that they patronize that too would be fantastic. Would really like to know what we would be looking at as far as a membership fee.

RangerClay has a valid point as far as the membership perks. I too have a Realtree hat and agree that the forums supply us with the info that the membership suggests and am curious what the discount would be for and how much.

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

Avis commercial ad with the 3 exec types in a rental car, rapping with the radio:

"Get that money man

Get that money man

Get that money

yo, I got to get this money man

I gotta stack cheese

I gotta stack cheese

I need at least 2gs in my kakis"

Is it all about the cash....? confused.gif

I always thought being a part of this forum meant I was part of Team Realtree? If I don't pay someone some money or write a check, do I have to take the Team Realtree sticker off of my truck, and my sons and I can't wear our Team Realtree hats around in public anymore? No thanks, not for me or my family.

If it was meant for charity, than maybe.

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

Strut10, you've got the right idea, good suggestions.

The filmed hunts with the "big 3" would be great. The opportunity to gather and talk exclusively with those guys and the rest of the Realtree Team would be a dream come true for some of us because they've been hunting in places that I for one could only dream of going, so we get to live that hunt through them.

I've been a RT fan for a long time and will continue to be for a long time to come, weather I get to be part of the "New" Team Realtree or not I know in my heart that I hunt for the same reasons that they do, because I love to hunt and love to have a good time with family and friends in the outdoors, of course.

I pretty much agree with that. Having a special room in these forums and having special privledges for paying memebers would create a huge rift in here in my opinion.

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

buckbuster...You have a point that I did not think of and also have to agree with Ohiobucks on his view as well. I would love to be a part of something exclusive but not at the expense of seeming like I was a member of an elite group. I guess that I would have to agree with the part about MONEY. It is a shame that it all seems to be about money. Don't we give enough at the store when we buy our gear every year?

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

not me, i buy real tree because it blends better than mossy oak. if i have to pay extra for "special stuff" count me out i'll stop buying rt a nd go with mo even though it sucks and i don't like it. i came on here for the slogan "family, friends, and the outdoors. maybe it should be "family, friends, special friends, and the outdoors. sorry it just don't ring the same to me.what would be better is a gift for how long you've been on this forum. that sounds better to me ,and i'm sure a lot of folks on here would agree.

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

Im all for a Team Realtree membership but not a special forum.the early realease dvds, a special hat just for members, magazine, coffeemug maybe, shirts, and discounts in the store, and a hunt with a pro staffer would be awesome.maybe have 3 winners each hunts with one of the big 3.
