Re: Joining Team Realtree?

I've got bills up the pike, and then some, and I won't be joining if you make the change.

I've been in here a long time because it's free, but will close the door if you start charging.

When I was younger I joined many clubs and groups, because I was not strapped for cash. I don't even read thier magazines anymore. You have something good going here now; please don't let the almighty dollar spoil it.

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

a paying club wouldnt be mean you cant come to the site and talk in the forums, nothing changes except the ones who join can do other things, no other forums or anything, same site with extras.and if you dont want to join then dont cas you should still be able to talk on the forums and come to the site.

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

I get it, I just don't think that they should charge for any part of the site....it excludes people and creates classes of posters.

The only exception is if there is real benefit to joining up. In my opinion, getting a discount on already overpriced merchandise because it has some exclusive slogan that 99% of America isn't going to recognize as special isn't a bargain. If you look at this idea at its root, you are paying extra to advertise for Realtree.

Maybe this is an age thing where I am just too old and over status things. If I were 18 or 19, I might join because my friends would recognize the club logo. I am just way beyond caring what anyone thinks of my logo choices.

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

Don't like the idea. Sounds purely like a money making scheme.

A "Team" hunt with the "big 3" is not gonna happen.

Pretty much everything you mentioned in the orignal reply is already available, as has been mentioned. It amounts to paying xtra just to have access to a special forum room, which is out of hand. I realize those were just preliminary suggestions but, really, what else can you offer?

But, if RT did go ahead with this plan I'm sure there would be plenty of people signing up for it.

Just not me.

Re: Joining Team Realtree?

Admin, are you still following this?

The challenge would be to come up with something unique. There is already so much stuff out there in this industry. It sounds to me like some folks here would be glad to be a part of what you folks do at Realtree, but paying to join a club type organization does not appeal to all. How could you involve a lot of good grass roots people within the mission...the big picture of what the company is all about? There are a lot of folks who seem interested in a chance to test products or provide input somehow. You could be on to something if you can find a way to harness all that horsepower for a mutual benefit.

One of the problems with the name 'Team Realtree' is what others have said...it has been in use all over many products for years.
