wtnhunt
Had been shooting pyrodex rs, 120 grains loose powder from my black diamond. Bought some amrican pioneer powder the otehr day to give a try. Was thinkig I would start at 100 grains and work my loads up from there in 5 grain increments until I find the optimum load. My question is if the ffg's are the same, shoud performance be similar with equal amount of powder?
WABS
Re: Changing powders-what to expect? Sounds like plan - I think you're going to have to shoot it see if there is any difference.

Just read through that, and I agree that the FFG in APP is BIG!!! I can't get it through my flask. Think i MAY GO GET SOME

I've never used amrican pioneer powder, but I think it is very similar to "777" powder which is a little hotter than pyrodex powder.
