Need some advice

I was out walking in the hills yesterday and came across I would say about 7 rubs in one little area. This area is about 50-60 yards down the hill from the ridge top where I hung my stand. Up at my stand I have salt lick out and a drip bag hanging. And I have seen a lot of does walk by me while hunting. My question is should I go to him or leave my stand where it is and hope he comes to me.

that depends what kind of tracks have you found on top verses the bottom, I have found that I see more on the high ground going to the low ground and a lot of beds I found were also on the higher ground, besides the higher up you are the less likely they are to scent you

Hey Mossyhorn I live in Letcher co. KY and I see the same thing as you most every year. Since you are so close to me I would say the patterns will be close to the same. Those rubs were probably made at night and hunting there would be useless. Stay put and around our modern gun season the buck sign will move right to your stand. It sounds like you have a great spot let me know how your season turns out.

Re: Need some advice

Thank you the help guys. Oh yeah today I went ginseng hunting with dad and we found a huge rub. It was over on the other side of the holler but there has been a lot of four wheelers coming in there the past 2 weeks. I hope whatever left it gets pushed to the side I am hunting.
