Re: Muscle twitches

I think I hurt my back when I went fishing in the Gulf. It was pretty rough out there. So I haven't been sleeping all that great. So that could be it.

Maybe I should take a nap.......................... smile.gif

Re: Muscle twitches

I've actually had the same problem the last few days. I went through a several month stretch of this a year or two ago that just about drove me out of my mind. It seemed like my eye was constantly twitching.

It hasnt been a problem since, but in the last few days my eye has been getting the twitches back here and there. I've never got a straight answer to what they problem is though. confused.gif

get serious before I rip my eyelid off and post pictures of it for all to see.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm waiting for the pictures grin.gif

Seriously though, I've had that problem before too, and haven't got a clue why it does that. Sometimes it will bug me for a day, a week, a couple weeks or more, before it quits.

It ussually happens when I'm stressed out or tense and need to get away for a trip somewhere.

Geesh, now mines twitching too. grin.gif

Re: Muscle twitches

Okay, I was waiting for everyone to get the jokes out.

The problem is caused by stress. When you are stressed, you crinkle your brow and your forehead and cause the muscles that control the eye muscles to be overworked. The results is somewhat of a muscle cramp. However, God, in his infinite wisdom knew that if the eyelid cramped like most muscles do, the eye could be damaged. So what you have going is an eye cramp, so to speak.

First, reduce your stress. Second, you must try to let that eye relax.

The best, but not easiest thing to do is to simply delay blinking as much as possible for just that eye. The alternate thing you can do is get some sunglasses and past a picture of your favorite place (i.e. the beach) in the lense of just that eye. Wear the sunglassed for at least a week and let you twitching eye go on vacation.

It's hard being semi-all knowing. laugh.gif

I guess that's the kind of stress I'm willing to endure though. There are FAR TOO many other ways to be stressed out. I guess I am "blessed to be stressed" LOL!!! grin.gifgrin.gif

Re: Muscle twitches

I've heard it's either stress related or caffeine related. I used to have the same problem, it would either be the eyelid, or actually the bridge of my nose between my eyes would twitch. That was really aggravating. Haven't had the problem in awhile. Not sure why, as stressed out as I have been lately.
