Otherwise shell out a 100 bucks and get a Bushnell yardage pro sport [/ QUOTE ] I used to pace out 20, and 30 yards when I practised and sighted in my bow, and then I'd do the same from the base of my tree or from where I sit in my blind, and put markers out. It really helps you visualize a 20 and 30 yard arc around your shooting area, and when a deer comes by, you know exactly, within a couple of yards, how far away it is.
