SRTMO
Re: Before and After Shots Thanks for the compliments. I actually took the buck to one taxidermist the day I shot him. I was not pleased with his customer service. He did a nice job on my ducks but, he kept giving me the run around. I picked the buck up and took him to another guy on 11-22-06 and had him back on 12-27-06. I couldn't believe it. All my friends were skepticle about the guy and 2 of them alreay have deer there getting mounted. Best part is, he only charges $250. If anyone in MD wants the guys number, let me know. RangerClay
Re: Before and After Shots That is a great deer and a fine looking mount. My cousin had a mount that cost $200+ and he got it back in a couple months. Bugs ate it up the cape over the following summer and he had to get it re-caped. It never looked the same after that. I am a member of the skepticle club and I wish you all the best with your mount!!
SRTMO
Re: Before and After Shots I should elaborate a little. This guy does all the deer mounts for a big tropical fish and taxidermy store in the Baltimore area. He has been for about 10 years now. He doesn't advertise but, if you find him, he'll do it for $250 instead of $400 the store charges you. Plus he'll have them back to you quick. Hopefully, no bugs like your friend. Sorry to hear about his misfortune.

Turkeygirl
Re: Before and After Shots Nice buck! Congrats! Yeah, there is a guy not too far from us that does taxidermy very reasonable - around $250 for a mount. WHEN I get my first big buck to mount, it'll probably go there.
