Guest Andrea
Okay. archery season starts this weekend here. I don't bowhunt, but I want to film my husband. Got any tips for me? I am not sure if I should be in the same tree or what. Should I use my video camera or digital camera? Won't turning it on scare them away? HELP!!!! Mach1
Re: Videotaping your partner\'s hunt Digital video cameras are great for filming. I'd try to setup filming over his shooting shoulder (i.e. if he's right-handed, film over his right shoulder). My MiniDV video camera is very quiet when turning it on and doesn't bother the deer. Good luck with the filming.
Leo
Re: Videotaping your partner\'s hunt Most digital cameras have a setup function that allows you to TURN OFF all it's sounds. Use it and you'll be fine
hoosierhunter
Re: Videotaping your partner\'s hunt put the stand on the tree facing the opposite way at the same height unless you are below 15 feet then go higher....
wtnhunt
Re: Videotaping your partner\'s hunt Going to video some hunts here this year with our sony mini dv camera. If your camera has an option for turning the sound off, would turn it off. Most cameras are pretty quiet and would be more concerned with your movements with the camera than the sound of the tape starting to roll. Far as stands, not sure, a blind for filming would probably work best if you have one to hunt.
