LETMGROW
We don't have a reloading room for many reasons so I thought I'd place a tip on this thread. I'm really fussy about my load weights. When I change from one load weight to another I throw 10 charges into my powder pan. Then I divide the weight of the 10 charges by 10. IE. If I wanted a 38.9 grain charge I would expect 10 charges to weigh 389 grains. If it is above or below the targeted figure I would make a minute adjustment and throw another 10 charges. I keep doing this until I am satisfied I am as close as I can get to the number I'm seeking. Takes a little time, but I feel in the end it is worth the effort. IMO close is not anywhere good enough when I am making ammunition.
OJR
Re: Reloading Tip I weigh each and every powder charge! I have a digital scale and the powder measures vary quite a bit, so I don't trust them. That is why I weigh each powder charge.

I don't measure each with my handgun loads.
AJ
Re: Reloading Tip Another one here. I don't weight each of my my straight walled handgun cartridges. Once the press i set, I check every thousand or so. Rifle cartridges that I load with ball powder get loaded by the powder measure. I will throw a bunch until I am happy with the setting. If its extruded powder, I use my Lyman 1200 Digital Powder System. All I have to do is press a button and it does it all for me.
