bbass300
Im looking to purchase a new muzzleloader and the new TC Pro Hunter really caught my eye. Just looking for opinions on it and curious as to how the changing of barrels actually work, are they very accurate after that switching? Guest bucknutt
Re: muzzleloader? i'm looking in to getting one also, just dont' have the money yet. i wanted one for a while but was kinda curious about the barrel changing also. saw a guy at the range throw on 3 different barrels, think it was a 50 cal, a 270 and a 243, all hit dead on at 100 w/o touching anything. johnf
Re: muzzleloader? I can answer the accracy question pretty easily. The scope doesn't go on the reciever, it goes on the barrel. When you sight one barrel in, you just take it off and put on the next one. As long as you don't knock it off somehow, it will stay on. The only real drawback is that you have got to have a scope for each barrel. (Not really a big deal) If I were saving up for an encore I would take a serious look at the nef guns and their barrel accessory program . They are less than half the price of the encore, the barrels go from $41-@$120, and I've heard they are more accurate than the encores. My two nefs (243 and 25-06) both shoot sub moa after very little work.

Hoyt03
Re: muzzleloader? I would go with the Encore over the pro hunter anyday. I just do not like the looks of the new pro hunter. Plus I have heard nothing but good about the encores.
