VTbowman
Re: black deer There seems to be a black hair gene on my property. I am starting to notice blackness/fade on some of the doe around here. My brothers 3 ptr had a prominate black patch about a foot long under his chest and Bobs doe had solid black ear backs and some of the top of her head a neck. I am not see totally solid dark black all over up here but it looks like something came in that had the gene a few years back. Neat looking and I hear 100x more rare then pie bald or albino. Doc
Re: black deer Now there would be a "whitetail grandslam". Harvesting all four color phases: standard, piebald, white, and black. What a neat addition to a trophy room to have bucks that represent all those variations. You guys want a whitetail challenge.....go take on that one! Shaun_300
Re: black deer I've only saw pics of them, never in person. I have saw an albino buck though. That was pretty neat.
