VTbowman
Well the old Pentax 10x24 binos made there last trip the other day. I pulled up to scan a field and one side was all fogged up. Not raining either. It was cooler out but not so bad to fog them. I turned them around to look threw the front obj. and saw its the mirror inside thats all covered with moister. I guess this set will ride shotgun in the truck from now on. Looking for a decent pair, good to great in low light( 32mm to 40mm front obj at least), that will lay flat against the chest for under $150. Money is Really tight so less then that really. Thanks for your opinions..
buckee
Re: Best low light binos under $150? Bushnell 10X50 are around $100, and great in low light. I've had mine for quite a few years now.
VTbowman
Re: Best low light binos under $150? I have a set of there cheapo walmart specials. Bushnell 10x50 for like $60. They are good in low light but super touchy on focus. Not to mention they do NOT like cold weather. The grease or whatever they use for the adjustment about froze up on me last Decembers ML season. LOL Those are my "inside from the front window binos". LOL I am looking for something a bit less bulky too.

TKLambert
Re: Best low light binos under $150? Ive got 10x50 Tasco's and I feel blind if I go in the woods with out them, esp. low light. Through them I can still make out whats goin on around my stand 15-20 minutes after I cant fully make it out with my eyes. Would have been in trouble last night if I did not have them. I was goin to get outta the stand, and I was gonna check to see if it was clear and I found a doe stand 10 yds from me in a brushy area. Without them I would have been BUSTED!!!!!!! LifeNRA
Re: Best low light binos under $150? A few years ago I bought a pair of Bushnell 8x32 Trophy. Water proof and rubber coated. But the best thing about these are the larger eye objectives! They allow people with eyeglasses to have a FULL view through them! I almost bought a $500 pair of Fujicon binos the year before! Glad I didnt! The Trophy's cost me about $160 then.
tedicast
Re: Best low light binos under $150? [ QUOTE ] www.vortexoptics.com [/ QUOTE ] I have always used cheap binocs. I have a habit of breaking binocs, and never wanted to own a good pair. This past summer at 3d shoots, I started usinga pair of 8x27 Bushnell Trophy binocs. Not the most expensive glass, but a huge improvement over what I was using. I was very impressed with them. Last night I got a pair of Vortex 8x42 Sidewinders. I got to play with them a bit today, and OMG!!! These binoculars are incredible. It was drizzling anf foggy, an these glasses were incredibly bright and clear. They are a bit more then you want to spend, at $249, but I can't tell you how much these glasses impressed me. Also the waranty is incredible. The warranty is unlimited, unconditional, and transferable.
Strut10
Re: Best low light binos under $150? How cheap you looking for?? How's free sound?? Seriously........the 8x32 Burris Landmarks that come "free" with the purchase of a Fullfield II scope are dang good glass!! They actually work out to cost about $30 if you figure the scope price without the bino promotion. The other morning I had a deer come in out of the field and past me on the left at about 20 - 21 yards. It was so dark all I could tell was it was a deer. I figured one big, lone deer should be a buck. I put the Burris binos on him. Not only could I tell ity was a buck......but I could see it was a 7-point. Not bad for low-light performance from free binos. Here's some on eBay
ScottyLuck
Re: Best low light binos under $150? For low light you want a pair of binos with an exit pupil between 4-7mm. Anything under 4mm and the low light capabilities become diminished. To figure the exit pupil divide the objective by the magnification. Ex: An 8x42 pair of binos would have an exit pupil of 5.25mm. 42 div by 8 = 5.25 The 8x42 Vortex Sidewinders can be had for around $189 at places such as Eagle Optics. For the xtra money, if you can swing it, they are well worth the money. Great quality, awesome warranty. I've compared the 8x42 Sidewinders side by side in the field to a pair of 10x42 Nikon Monarch ATB's and there was no difference in quality or brightness. http://www.eagleoptics.com/index.asp?dept=1&type=19&purch=1&pid=4451
Guest PureCountry
Re: Best low light binos under $150? Just wondering how many of you have spent big money on bino's. Like $700 or more. Bushnell Elite's, Swarovski, Leica, Zeiss, Steiner and such. I'm tired of cheapies, and I haven't spent money on any hunting gear for years, so I figure I'm due to treat myself. Some friends of mine have tried all of the previously mentioned brands, and they all seem to like them. Just thought I'd inquire on here. Let me know any experiences, if you please.
