Anyone know of good climbing sticks, or steps.

I dont want screw in steps, just ones that strap or buckle to the tree, id like to get around 20 feet up as well.

Id say 100 bucks is my price range, maybe 20 or so dollars more.

Im thinking about those Summit climbing steps.

Let me know if you have any opinions, itd be appreciated.

Thanks,

Dustin

I didn't care for the summit sticks. I think I bought the strong built ones and they work fine and only paid like $45 for 15 feet worth.

dicks sporting goods has 16ft climbing sticks on sale for 25$ They are very good sticks for the price, have them on all my hang ons. Walmarts 16ft'ers for 40 bucks are about the same thing. Either one will work great. I would never pay that kinda money for 1 set of name brand sticks. These from walmart and dicks work just as well

non typical rapid rails are by far the best in my opinion. i work for cabelas and they are made of aluminum weighing about 11-13 lbs i believe with each section beaing a hair shorter than the other so they can be stacked for easy carrying. along with that i believe they are the safest. others are too close to the tree with little steps where as the rapid rails come out and its pretty much like a ladder going up. they are 99.99 from cabelas. u'll see the realtree guys using them alot . quick, easy light and safe. i wear huge rubber boots and i wouldnt feel safe going up any others. any other questions feel free to ask me laugh.gif

oh and you can space out the sections to get more than 20' and they offer an extension also

In my opinion the rivers edge tree steps are the best. I advise gettin one with a foot hold on both sides as opposed to every other one cause i have used both versions and the first kind is much easier to use.

I have a set of the Lone Wolf Climbing Sticks. I love them. The step part folds up and the three sticks nest together. They are light weight and easy to use. I think I paid around $100 for the set. I also have the Lone Wolf Alfa strap-on stand. The sticks strap right onto the stand for backpacking into the woods.
