Turkeygirl
Is when you see how it seems like everyone on here is putting tags on deer and I'm still deerless. Granted today is only day 4 of archery and it is raining and I'm at work, but i missed a buck opening morning, saw 2 other bucks and a doe the rest of the weekend then last night went out on my home ground, saw a small doe but I was going to take a 30 yards shot with light fading, and I heard the deer come down the hill behind me and a scrape that I walked by coming into that stand, was re-done when I walked out - darn deer! I hope I get a deer soon with my new Hoyt. Maybe the rain will let up by the time I get home but i'm not counting on it....
GWSmith
Re: What\'s hard.... Getting skunked while bowhunting is not a question of IF...but of WHEN. There's always the next time....cheer up, look down, aim small
Rhino
Re: What\'s hard.... Ruth it just seems like that because there are so many of us on here. I'll bet there's a lot that feel like you do. It was my 15th bowhunt before I connected on a doe this year. Hang in there and keep at it. missouri hunter
Re: What\'s hard.... I got lucky and got an early doe, but I had one of the bigger bucks I have seen from a stand bust me on Sat. afternoon, and I have been sick since, and I have been doing this a while. Don't let it get you down. Thats the beauty of bow hunting, you don't kill everything you see like you do with a rifle, but you get to experience the woods alone in a stand and take it all in. Good luck to you, you will stick one don't worry.
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: What\'s hard.... season is still early, just wait till the rut, that is the greatest time to be in the woods, deer activity at its peak! You'll get one, be patient and have fun!!
Texan_Til_I_Die
Re: What\'s hard.... Join the club. I haven't seen squat so far, but believe me, I'm not about to quit or give up. Cooler temps are finally rolling into West Texas and I'm hoping the deer will start moving as the themometer starts falling.
VTbowman
Re: What\'s hard.... Wait a minute. Your complaining because you've been only 3 or 4 times, shot and missed one, and have been seeing all sorts of deer? Huh. I have been out twice as many times and have seen very few (5 total during legal light no where near me), no shots at all. Id say your season is going well IMHO. LOL Good Luck and go git-em. bfletch7441
Re: What\'s hard.... I'm right there with you. Seems like everyone here in Oklahoma is starting to kill deer, but I'm still trying. If we keep putting in the time on stand, it'll surely pay off though. Best of luck. Hoyt03
Re: What\'s hard.... you got a shot this year thats more then some people get in 3 years. Thats archery, you have to make every oportunity count. I agree though, it does seem like everybody i know is killing them but me. I'm not shooting does this year as the rest of PA should maybe consider.

Bowtech_archer07
Re: What\'s hard.... Don't worry about it. Plenty of chances for you to put your tag on a deer. Keep your head up. I missed a HUGE buck opening night and just got revenge on Sunday. Things will work out for you.
bowhunten4life
Re: What\'s hard.... Alright, I got all of you ladies and gentlemen beat. I come to this site everyday to hear stories and look at pics, and I havent been hunting at all, and the earliest that I can go is December 11th. Not because I dont want to, but because I am a soldier, and I will not be home until then. So, just be greatful that you get the opporunity to go, when there are people who would love to go, but are away from their friends and family so that you all have the right to hunt. Sorry, if that sounded kind of mean, but it really eats me up to have to talk to my lil bro and dad while they are on their way out, and I am on the otherside of the world, and all that they can say is well I wish you were here buddy. It gets hard, be greatful.
