LifeNRA
Re: 2x7x32 or 3x9x40 If you can put the 3-9x40 on your gun, thats what I would use! The larger objective will gather more light, which means you will see objects better!
wtnhunt
Re: 2x7x32 or 3x9x40 Put a 3-9x40 on my ml. Would probably put the same on my shotgun if I were to use it as a slug gun.

johnf
Re: 2x7x32 or 3x9x40 The 2x7 would probibly be plenty, the 3x9 would be plenty. Probibly is not always a good thing.
AaronS
Re: 2x7x32 or 3x9x40 It would depend on where I planned to hunt. Where I hunt, the vast majority of my shots are close, so I opt for lower power scopes. I will put a 2-7x32 Nikon on the next slug gun I buy. I currently hunt with a muzzleloader topped with a 1.5-5x32 Bushnell.
Tecumseh
Re: 2x7x32 or 3x9x40 I'd go with the 3-9 on a slug gun.
Guest Finn
Re: 2x7x32 or 3x9x40 What type of area do you hunt? Open long shots, get the 3x9. Dense wooded hunting, the 2x7 will be fine. I just bought a 2x7x32 Nikon Prostaff for my Omega and couldn't be happier with it.
NEIOWAARCHER
Re: 2x7x32 or 3x9x40 3-9x40, It will let in way more light. I use them on everything I got, from 12 gauge to ML to rifles. The only way to go in my opinion.
