Tecumseh
Has anyone tried these?I sent my 50 cal renegade to T/C because it lost all accuracy and they ended up refitting the barrel to the stock and I have to start from scratch to find a bullet- powder charge for it. [/ QUOTE ] I never had any luck with accuracy using either Maxiballs or Maxi-Hunter conicals. I've found the "sabots" to be the most accurate in my T/C muzzle loader. str8shooter48
Re: T/C Maxi-Hunter My 54cal. Renegade seemed to like Hornady Great Plains bullets. Although I have never fired a sabot out of it. Its been a while since its been fired. My Encore 209x50 is the gun I go to for hunting. My eyes just aren't what they were and a scope makes life a bit easier. So unless I just want to go out and have fun at the range the Renegade will sit in its special slot in the safe. Tecumseh
Re: T/C Maxi-Hunter I tried the Great Plains bullets and it they did not do very well.I have some Maxiballs if those don't work I'll go back to the good old rounball and patch. Adjam5
Re: T/C Maxi-Hunter I have had good results and accuracy from the Maxi hunters and ball. I have T/C Thunderhawk. One of the 1st in lines. It has a 1:28 twist and at 100 yards, I'm hitting a CD(all I had for a target ). I have also found that loose powder performs better than pyrodex pellets and 777 pellets in my gun. What I went through to find this out. I did convert it from #11 to 209 though. I do alot of wet weather muzzlingloading. I like the knockdown power of the Maxi hunters and for my 100 yard shots here in southern NY.
