This evening i went out again had a really good hunt! Although i didnt get a deer had alot of fun. I had been in my stand about an hour and it started to rain harder than i dont know what. I thought that the evening might be a lose but at about 20 till 6 about 40 yards away i see some movement. I get to looking at the deer and its a little spike they were about 5 inches long. To long of a shot for me but i wouldnt have shot him if he was at 20 yards anywhere where i feel good shooting. He was the first deer i have saw in the first 2 days i have been out.

I have to tell you this lol its kind of funny. With all the rain and my hands being wet i couldnt get my saftey harness undone to get out of the tree my fingers just slipped on it. Then i figured out i was turning it the wrong way. By then it was to late so tried to undue the other one no luck. crazy.gif I tried again and got it i thought heck this is going to sound good ill never hear the end of it if i cant get out of my tree cause of this dumb thing. grin.gifwink.gif

Re: Good hunt no deer

Sounds like we had a similar evening hunting.

I felt differently about climbing into the stand though and setup the porta-roof on a tree and sat on the ground after making a small brush blind.

It was raining when I left the truck and never really stopped the whole evening.

Had 7 deer come out last night within bow range of my stand. Tonight I was not too far from the base of my treestand tree...Nothing tonight though.

You Know it's raining good enough when the deer have better sense then to be out in it grin.gif

As for me though I fear theres no hope...LOL
