Palssonater
Re: size loads for geese Hevi-Shot is too rich for my blood still. I will shoot HV steel at size 2,BB,BBB over dekes. 2,3 for ducks.
clayman
Re: size loads for geese BBB and BB for pass shooting BB over decoys In both the 10ga and the 12.
Covehnter
Re: size loads for geese If you can shoot 3 1/2", maximize your opportunities. I'll shoot nothing smaller than BB's at geese. . . they're tough. Also have a super tight patternmaster choke on the end too. . . .
Guest 2500HD
Re: size loads for geese It all depends on your hunting set up and the hunting in your area. Some set ups and areas will allow you decoy birds where a 3" BB is a great load with a Mod choke for those 30yrd or less shots. Other areas because of pressure and skybusters your main shooting will be pass shooting where a 3.5" BBB or #2 Hevi Shot and a Patternmaster choke will dish rag them for those 30yrd+ shots. Knowing the typical distance you will be shooting and knowing your pattern at that didtance will greatly improve your shooting.
