Another Good buck, Pic

Ok. Here is the story. No I didn't connect yet, but my bro in-law did. He called yesterday at 10:30 and said he had hit a good buck and couldn't find blood. He had good blood on the arrow, but lost the blood after 70 yards. I told him I'd be over to help, he showed where he had blood to, and we went from there. We looked for an hour without finding anymore blood, he and his wife had searched for 3 hours before I came over. He started looking in the thickets, and I started weaving back and forth across where we thought the deer headed. I was making my fourth pass, approx. 150 yards from the last blood, and my eyes spotted a scuff from a deer running. For some reason I stared at that scuff, and a little drop of blood appeared right beside the hoof print. All of the sudden My eyes saw dried blood everywhere. I called him on cell and told him Iwas back on the blood, He said he'd be right down. I started following a good blood trail that I could see well now. I went another 20 yards and there he was right around a big brush pile. I let out a Red neck yell that would make Deliverence seem like a Disney Movie. LOL What a good buck, Here are the specs on the deer. Yes we did put him on the scales. I even took pics of the scales to verify. This is the heaviest deer I've ever weighed in Pa. Enjoy

Buck 8pt. scored 118,

weight 184 dressed

What was the shot distance, impact area and what head was used?? Just curious.

The shot placement was really good, 20 yards. he was useing Modoc broadheads. just a 2 blade cut on contact. this just didn't open much of a hole. it was also really thick here, so without the buck blowing out the blood, it was really hard to follow. I'm not downing these heads,I'm just saying they don't open much of a hole, JMO
