Guest wtbuckshot
After 20 years +, I broke down and got an inline. I have been shooting a T/C Hawken both Flint and Per for a lond time. I know how tricky these guns can be with powder and bullets. Any suggestions to try with my new Encore? Here in PA everyone is using powerbelts and 777 with their E ncores. too_pointer
Re: First Inline T/C Encore With my Encore, I use 295 grn. powerbelts and 100 grn. pellets of 777 powder. This is what shoots nice in my Encore, it sure doesn't mean it will with yours It means that black powder barrels can be very different and specs. Barrels don't have the same tight specs as rifle barrels do. You can try these and see how it works, or maybe try some sabots, and see how they shoot. Good luck whatever works great for you. too_
VTbowman
Re: First Inline T/C Encore 250g Shock Wave sabot, 2 Pyrodex pellets (100g), and a Winchester 209 primer, out of my 15" Encore 209x50. 1.5" groups at 100 yards with this set up. Man talk about recoil though. LOL Yes its a pistol but still an Encore inline...
bigmoss
Re: First Inline T/C Encore 2 Pellets of Triple7 and a 295 Gr Aerotip Power Belt, shoot awsome right to 200 yrds
tped
Re: First Inline T/C Encore I don't shoot powerbelts - they wouldn't shoot a 12" group at 50 yards in my Encore. I shoot 250 grain Barnes in front of 120 grains of 777 loose. Chrono's right at 2216fps consistently and sub-moa all day long - all weather conditions.
