Guest rds
Hey Guys, Good to be back, comp died. I recently bought 2 NEF Handi-Rifles one in 7.62x39 and one in .44 mag. I have owned NEF Rifles and Shotguns in the past and found them to be accurate and reliable for the price. But, these 2 new ones both have problems. Both new in the box and the 7.62x39 I had to file the hammer face down because it would not fire a round with the primer just a 64th of an inch deeper than flush, it works fine now. And the .44 wouldn't pattern and when i looked down the barrel you could only see 2 of the lands and grooves out of 6 the rest of the barrel looked like a smoothbore. I called the company and the woman i talked to was rude and didn't even let me finnish speaking, I sent the gun back and it looks like they sent the button down the barrel again and sent it back. I can see 5 of the lands now but very shallow. Has anyone else had any dealings with NEF/H&R lately and how was it and their guns? I have used them for years and never had these kinds of problems. AJ
Re: NEF Handi-Rifles Sorry to hear about your problems. I hope its not a new trend. I have not had those results with their customer service. I would try the barrel and see how it shoots. If it does not perform to your satisfaction, give them a call and calmly explain the situation. Customer service is not a job I would want anytime. Just think abou tthe only people you deal with are people that are ticked off about a product you represent. Maybe she had a bad day. Remember the old addage, you get more flies with honey. If they get attitudinal, ask to speak with their manager.
