Swamphunter
Man, I have to say something for the quality of G5 products. I put the G5 Optix ME sight on my bow along with a G5 meta peep, got rid of my peep tubing, and man...what an awesome set-up. I don't have a chronograph, but by the look of my arrows coming off that bow, there is no doubt that losing the peep tubing and the heavier peep sight gained me some fps! I also have 4 more lbs I can crank up until I hit my max of 70lbs. I started off at 262fps with the peep tubing and the heavier peep sight. Since then I have cranked it up 3lbs already and still have the additional 4 to go (next year though). The meta peep is a big blue circle and shows up well during the day. Have not tried it in lowlight yet, but can't imagine it won't be sufficient. I can tell you one thing though, I am going to make a bow press over the winter because I am tired of driving 40 minutes to get to my pro-shop to have him perform tasks on my XT that I could do from home if I aquired a press. wtnhunt
Re: Quality Good luck with the bow press Ken. Seeing what you have turned out in your woodworking, no doubt you will be able to build something. Just put a carolina archery foxfire sight on my bow last night. Considerably cheaper than your sight, but better than the factory pse sight that was on my bow. Took less than 5 minutes of shooting and adjustments to have the new sight set where I wanted it. My groupings seem to have tightened up some too.
Swamphunter
Re: Quality I had the old PSE sight on also before if you look at some of the earlier pics of my bows. I just really wanted this bow to reach its potential that I can do with it.
