Guest isiaha
I just bought a mini 2AA 3watt led maglite. Wow does that throw off a lot of light. Do you like the new led maglite flashlights ? http://www.maglite.com/productline.asp
Newarcher
Re: Maglite Flashlights I haven't seen the maglight brand but I just rebought a Streamlight Twin Task that has 5 led, 10 led, or yellow bulb selectable in the same flashlight. IMHO, a much better choice as they run forever on the batteries as opposed to the normal mag lights. New

Guest DaveGP
Re: Maglite Flashlights how does it do on longer range viewing in the dark, i had a 7 led flashlight and for close up it was great but it didnt let me see distance, and walking through a cow pasture i need to see a little distance to stay away from those cows, they like you to keep a little distance from them! Newarcher
Re: Maglite Flashlights That's why I like the Streamlight twin task.... You can select the LED's or the normal krypton bulb or whatever they call it. Gives a good amount of light. A side benefit is that while officially called white LED's, it shines almost blue. Might help with the trailing at night. New

GWSmith
Re: Maglite Flashlights After seeing this or a similar post about this I looked for these replacement LED's at a Walmart in Rome, NY yesterday....They only had the LED's for "C" and "D" cell lights

AdvantageTimberLou
Re: Maglite Flashlights gotta love the maglight, have had mine for over 15 years and still is like new, they take a beating and are probably the best investment in a good flashlight! [/ QUOTE ] Yep, have used them many times around the farm here and for tracking deer after dark. Keep one in each vehicle between the seat and console, and one on the headboard of our bed, our power goes out frequently.
