snapper
Re: \"Official\" Post Colorado Trip Thread [ QUOTE ] snapper, I still want you or Steve to explain to everyone how you guys got that BIG BULL down off that mountian.... [/ QUOTE ] Lucky for us it was almost all straight down. Where he (the bull) would slide or roll...it slid and rolled. Where he got hung up...we'd grab an antler an drag it til either we fell out of the way or he moved us out of the way. There was one spot with snow in the valley...the bull slid about 50 yards down hill in the snow. Steve goes over and sits down where the bull slid and slid on his butt down to the bull. I figured...what the heck. Took my gun off my back and slid on my butt down to Steve and the bull! Once we were about 300 yards or so from the truck...it wasn't so steep and my legs were shot (felt like jello). It was then decided to cut it in half and Jeff and Pete helped get the head and front quarters to the truck. Went back the next morning for the back half. Quite an adventure for me...never experienced anything like and will never forget!

Guest Phaseolus (BeanMan)
Re: \"Official\" Post Colorado Trip Thread Rifleman, I posted a few days before the RT hunt to exlain why I wouldn't be able to make it. With all of the rain we had I still had not harvested my Pinto beans which should have been done in late September, my fourth cutting hay was still in the windrow, and my soybeans were ready to harvest. I had a window of weather that allowed me to harvest the soybeans that week. I finished pintos last night but they are going to be #2's due to weather, and I'll bale that now worthless 4th cutting of hay this afternoon. I wanted to go bad.
