Re: 2 with 1 shot?

while i have had clean pass throughs on deer with a bow and also have had the arrow go 30 yards past my deer i don't think that there is enough energy to fully penetrate a second deer. i think you could kill one deer and wound another very easily, but i don't think you could kill two deer with one arrow(unless maybe they were touching side to side) just my opinion

Anything is possible, but it doesn't make it ethical. I would call this kind of hunting SLOPPY at the best. If somebody wanted to brag about it I wouldn't want to be hunting with them.

Just suppose it were a person behind the deer he just shot at. I don't believe in the shoot now and check it out later game at all. mad.gif

very unethical shot, would not shoot at a deer with another deer behind it. Thats the bowhunters rule.

I agree. But lot's of hunters don't think about situations like that. They get so nervous when a buck comes in that they loose all sense of reality. I used to get bad buck fever when I was younger. So it's easy for me to see how it could be done.

Now that I have matured I actually do think of these situations. Once the arrow hits the first deer many things can make that arow change direction like a rib bone, shoulder, the ability of the arrow the center itself upon entry, etc....

It is unethical to even attemp a shot like this, but sometime hunters forget...
