too_pointer
I took my 25-06 and .270 and ran a box of each through my rifles. I was shooting Rem. Core-Lokt. 120 grn. in the .25-06 and 150 grn. in the .270. I am thinking about dropping some weight in each of them. Any suggestions ? I do not have to buy Rem. ammo neccesareily either. Less recoil would be better for me. thanks too_
Jeramie
Re: Did some range shooting I bet they make the Managed Recoil in .270 (Remington). They are more expensive then Corelokts but you should feel a notable difference. Also, do you have a good pad on your rifles? Im guessing it would take quite a bit of weight to make a huge difference. I switched from 180grn to 150grn (.30-06) and I did notice a differnce but it still bucked a little. OJR
Re: Did some range shooting In the 270, try some Hornady, 130 grain, Interbonds. I think they have factory loads with them! Tough bullet and it works great!

[/ QUOTE ] I have Simms Limbsaver on both rifles. I agree about going to 130 grn. .270 bullets, and I would like to find some 100 grn 25-06 bullets, I believe somebody makes them. Thanks for your suggestions. Mike
AJ
Re: Did some range shooting Remington offers a 100 gr Express for the 25-06. Winchester offers the 100 gr Accubond in their Supreme line. Federal also offers the 100 gr Accubond and a 100 gr Ballistic Tip in the Premium line. Any of these will do the job on whitetails.
