Computer Printer Help Needed

I am in need of some serious help!!!

I need to print out some wine labels for a wedding present this weekend but I have run into this problem with my printer!!

Here is my situation. I have these pre cut gummed labels very similar to what you get at Staples. When I click on print all of the type prints up higher than the label. It does not allign correctly. Now if I run a regular sheet of paper it aligns perfectly. I had this same problem with some address labels recently. Why is the label paper printing differently???

It is an HP psc 1210 xi All-in-one if that helps at all.

I am offering a reward for the person who can help me!!

Re: Computer Printer Help Needed

What label making software are you using.? confused.gif

I don't know if your HP has label making software , I know mine doesn't.

I use Avery design Pro for making labels, and it works fine with HP printers

Did the labels you're using come with any software

Re: Computer Printer Help Needed

I am using software called Classic Studio it is designed for making wine labels only. The labels are also Classic Studio.

The part that drives me nuts is that they provide a test page. It is regular paper thickness and runs fine. But the thicker label paper will not run the same mad.gif

Re: Computer Printer Help Needed

Hi Joe, you might want to try selecting specialty paper at the paper selection part of the printer program.

I'm not sure if that will do anything or not, but it's worth a try, the other thing you might try is updating the printer drivers.

Just a couple of suggestions don't know if they will work or not.

Re: Computer Printer Help Needed

Check within the program in the printing options for paper and choose the labels that you are using. Sort of like going into word and using the label maker you choose the label number that is on the box and the printer automatically adjusts to the labels that you are using. Since you have an all in one there may be a different feed for the labels. I have seen this on some of the printers before. Good luck.
