Guest Smity
What is a good broadhead for 85 grain?
Dogg6
Re: What broadhead? I'm a Muzzy fan, been using them for years. 125grain with my old bow and 100 grain with 5575 Goldtips on my new Bow. They bust through bone good. That's been my experience. Never been a fan of expandables, really like the fixed blade. Shot placement is the biggest thing to worry about. Hope it helps you out. Straight Shooter
Re: What broadhead? Slick trick and NAP Thunderheads are two great fixed blade heads that come in 85 grain. Muzzy comes in 75, and 100 so they can't help you there. If your wanting mechanicals, Rocket and Rocky Mountain make some good heads. bghunter777
Re: What broadhead? I like Rocket Sidewinders 85gr if you could make the jump to 100 gr you have quite a few more options. I know Mike Waddel himself likes the muzzy 90 gr heads those would shoot very similar to 85grs with muzzys you would never have a problem. they are built tough. I myself and a Rocket man. 257bob
Re: What broadhead? I've been shooting 85 grain Sonics and they are flying extremely well. I have also shot the Slick Tricks a bit and they flew very well also.

Guest IllinoisMackDaddyHunter
Re: What broadhead? i used to be a thunderhead freak until 2 yrs ago. Ihave never shoot a fixed broadheads that fly this good better yet no tuning just screw them in and practice shooting. ive shot them out of 2 different bows i own and the same thing. i shoot 85 grains and went to 100grs this year--better flight.
