atthewall
Bucks are starting to do their thing with the first few cold fronts coupled with the recent new moon cycle. New moon with cool weather = activity. These are low fenced Hill Country bucks, Edwards Plateau region in Texas. Sniffing for does.

Loomis1228
Re: Rut Buck Scenes October I've got to know--what kind of camera are you shooting? I shoot a D70 Nikon DSLR. Great pics and please keep posting! By the way--I am in Central Kentucky. If I ever saw 1 of those bucks in the woods I would soil myself. atthewall
Re: Rut Buck Scenes October Thanks guys and no I'm not a Professional photographer. I shoot a Canon D350 and on this particular day, I shot a 75-300mm Telephoto Image Stabilizer lens with a 1.5x Teleconverter. Can't afford the high dollar L Series Canon lenses yet but the IS lens is great for field work. Don't need a tripod to shoot shots but it does take steady hand. I just shoot pics for fun...been doing it for years. Building a pile of them now and one day I may go Pro. Probably would help with Taxes under a business umbrella for more glass? I'm pushing my camera as hard as it will go and it's not very good a low light in comparison with the high dollar lenses out there (F2). Once again thanks! Appreciate it. Loomis1228
Re: Rut Buck Scenes October They are just beautiful. I could look at those pics all day long. Congrats! Do you have a website or a link to more of your pictures somewhere? If you don't want to make it public, please PM me and let me know where I can see more of your work. Maybe when I get more $$, I am going to invest in some better glass. Mine are old and are not allowing the kind of light that your big lenses are.
