WIDeer4Life
Went out and made a mock scrape on the edge of my food plot. Made it under a tree with about a 2" diameter. Came back this weekend to find a buck rubbed the tree that i made the scrape under. Im guessing the buck that did this must have some serious balls so hopefully he's a mature deer. What do you guys think? Think a young buck would do this? Im going to refresh the scrape tomorrow so we'll see what happens. Kyle
slughunter
Re: Rub on my mock scrape How big of a tree? I had a lot of scrape action today, a buck actually ate my scent wick. I would say a pretty decent buck made it. -shane
WIDeer4Life
Re: Rub on my mock scrape it was about a 2" diameter tree, so nothing huge but decent sized. Im going to get out again in the morning and see if I can fill my tag. Supposed to get pretty windy tomorrow unfortunately but hopefully theyll be moving anyway. VTbowman
Re: Rub on my mock scrape I assume that whatever srape you made it was made imitating a mature buck, to include mature buck scent. If a buck rubbed the tree it seems likely he is also mature or at least a guttzy buck, LOL. Most mock scrape do not turn out as community scrapes IMO. Good Luck.
