Re: You won $83 million ...........

- Pay off any immediate family debts (mother, father, grandparents, and myself).

- Make sure those same immediate family individuals are well insured, including myself.

- Sell the current house that I live in, buy at least 1000+ acres of prime hunting land.

- Build two practical houses on the land. By practical I mean they easily accommodate a family of 4 or 5, but are not huge and outrageous. One house would be for my parents and lone grandfather. The other would be for me and any family I may have at the time.

- Take my mother, her parents, and myself on a trip to Europe to see castles and such.

- Take my father, godfather, and myself on a P&Y Whitetail Archery hunting trip.

- Build some sort of video system on the property to provide my lone grandfather the ability to watch the wildlife since he can't get outdoors anymore. Maybe some sort of video system above a permanent ladder stand so he can watch me hunt.

- Invest in a small web hosting/web design business for me to run in my spare time.

- Invest in a virtual hunting game series development using a game engine similar to Deer Hunter 2005/The Sims 2.

- Invest some of the money in other practical less risky investments out there.

- Place the remaining money into bank accounts to collect interest on.

- Live comfortably on interest until I die making absolute sure I always have enough money for the future and don't run myself dry with greed. If I end up with a family of my own someday I'd make sure to set it up so they will be able to live happily even after my death.

Re: You won $83 million ...........

Establish trusts for my children.

Invest half the remaining money. 50% into an e-trade account and 50% into low rish mutual funds.

With the remaing money, purchase three 5,000 acre+ whitetail guide ranches in Ohio, Illinois and Canada and one large one here in Oklahoma. Allow the current management to stay on and spend Oct 1st to Dec, harvesting as many Pope and Young Whitetail as humanly possible.

Re: You won $83 million ...........

First off I would travel around looking for Churches with their hearts and Spirit in the right place and start writing checks. Once I had spent $830,000 in tithes I would then finish the new addition to our Church.

For me I would buy the largest hunk of land that caught my eye. Then id build a gaggle of houses in the middle. In the middle I would then build a Rec center with a big screen, pool, games, etc.

I would employ my entire family and pay them as Ranch hands. The houses wouldn't be theirs but simply bunk houses. I would also build a 75x100 Metal building and fill it with new "Farm Trucks", 4-wheelers, etc.

I would run horses and cattle, while setting aside several acres of land for whitetail hunting. I would food plot and manage like mad. Then every year I would draw 5 lucky hunters to spend a week at my place (out of a raffle). Those funds would go to help some sort of Charity and or Church.

With that much money there would be a lot left so a vast majority would go into a trust that would produce monthly checks. The cattle and horses would also have to draw a revinue.....

But then again, I wont buy a lotto ticket....

Re: You won $83 million ...........

I would take about 2 weeks to announce that I won. I would have a Lawyer, Financial Planner, and an Accountant have half of it saved, protected, and invested for my families future.

Pay off all of my familes debt. Build a nice house for my parents and set them up a little retirement fund of 3-4 million.

Build myself a house, nothing fancy 3 lots on the golf course with my house in the middle lot.

Houses for my wifes parents and brother.

Then the fun, find as much land in Buffalo County as I can. Build a nice cabin and hunt.

I want to open an archery store in the city I live in. The closest one is 20 miles away. Plus, I need some sort of financial loss so I don't have to pay all those darn taxes. grin.gif
