Guest wisbowhntr
Just wondering how many Wis archers are done hunting and who is still hunting . I myself is still hunting here . I was hoping to get one before the gun season so I wouldn't have to hunt the late season but so much for that happening . I do have to say that I was seeing deer in the early part of the season but just wasn't in the right place at the right time . Well lets here from all you cheese head archers . bulldawg
Re: Wisconsin archers I hung up my bow for this year. I love the gun season, and down in my area, it is open until Jan3, so me and the son are going to go out for a bit every weekend until it closes. If these new high fees take effect, I'll probably give up bowhunting for good. Not enough time to get out much, and I always take vacation during the gun season. Guest Finn
Re: Wisconsin archers I'm still planning to hunt over the holiday weeks. Let one decent 8 point pass earlier. At this point, would probably take him if given another chance. There should be some nice bucks out there. Just not many taken around us this season. Good luck to you all. Chrud
Re: Wisconsin archers I like to take a week off after gun season ends. But, with the late T-Zone going on right now (which I'm not hunting), that'll pretty much end it for me this year.

Guest wisbowhntr
Re: Wisconsin archers Oneida man the late rut should start soon huh ? Wish I had snow down here by me . We just keep getting rain ,rain , and more rain . LOL . Your lucky not to have that darn late T-zone up by you . Wish it wasn't going on here . Well I but out a apple flovored mineral block on private land I hunt and went hunting on thurs. but nothing came to it . I think because of the winter wheat field to the north of me is why . Also on public land I tried using the liqiud deer cain stuff and couldn't tell if they where hitting it yet . Hope all this rain doesn't wash it out .Well good luck to you hope ya get one . billygoat
Re: Wisconsin archers Dang T zone still has gun's blazing around here, took two doe early on in the season w/ my bow, passed several small basket racks, a nice eight and missed a big twelve ... Any ways, my wife took a large eight during the gun and I just got back from shotgunning in Iowa, so we have plenty of meat... Guess that means I'll hang it up for the rest of the year, but indoor league starts in January, so that will keep me busy . What is everyone's though on the price hike? Really sucks, should have stuck it to the fisherman and state park people and the ATV's).

WisconsinArcher
Re: Wisconsin archers Well I ended up taking two does early in bow season, had to fill the earn a buck, and then took a nice 8pt in october. I have seen some nice bucks late season, but hung up the bow before gun season came. I too have noticed much more activity with the end of muzzleloader and with more snowfall.
