?X? is definately a western thing grin.gif

We always let you know what is on each side, instead of the overall points.

Since I'm from back east, it was hard to get used to, because I used to just say 4 point or 8 point too.

I like it better now grin.gif because it gives you a better visual of what the deer has.

Heck a 7 pointer, could have 3 on one side and 4 on the other, or 2 on one side and 5 on the other, or even 1 on one side and 6 on the other.

This way, if I say I got a 1x6, it lets you know right off, that it was no ordinary 7 pointer grin.gif

...Just curious how you describe a buck.

...As DINNER grin.gif

If I can measure a point as 1" or more it counts as a "Regular Point".

If it is just less than 1" it still counts as a "Nub-Point".

So if a rack had 5 "Regular Points" and 3 "Nub-Points" total...

In reality it would be...a Main Frame 5 pointer with 3 Nubbers grin.gif

In any story told about it around a campfire...a Huge 8 pointer with Junk grin.gifgrin.gifgrin.gif

Or to simplify things...Eastern Count - 5 Pointer smirk.gif

(I still like the Huge 8 Pointer thing better...LOL)
