nutz4bucks Posted November 2, 2006 Report Share Posted November 2, 2006 I have Browning 10 Ga. 3"1/2 shotgun that i use for coyote hunting Here's the problem i last used it in Feburary and been really busy this summer so it sat in the mezziane of my pole shed in the case. Well went out today to get it ready when the snow flies and it was pretty rusty any tips on how to clean it up last year it was in perfect condition and now it's awful can't beleive i did this.the rust is just on the top as far as i can tell. It will remove the rust but not hurt the blueing underneath. Of course if its pitted, damage has been done. You can use 0000 steel wool to clean up around the pitting. After that, use some cold blueing to touch up the bare metal. If it is too bad of shape, maybe have it bead blasted and spray paint it camo.
