mule659
Does anyone else here use this grunt tube? My best friend and I have both used this call for a while combined with the original primos can it seems to work wonders for us.
wtnhunt
Re: H.S. True Talker Bought one this year about 3 weeks ago. Have not really used it in the field yet. It sounds ok to me, but still stinks like a new tire. Think for now I am going to stick with my tried and proven old no name brand o ring grunt call. VTbowman
Re: H.S. True Talker Ditto. I had bought one a few weeks ago and treid it a few times out bow hunting. Just cold calling with no luck. It does sound really good to me but I have little success calling anyways in my area. Just few to no mature bucks so I wonder if I am shooting myself in the foot with this call since it definately sounds "mature". I can say I did not feel its a call for long distance calling. mossyhorn
Re: H.S. True Talker I have had one for some time now. I got when I started hunting. I don't think I would ever buy another grunt call. It has made many deer come to me over the years.
Guest adamo
Re: H.S. True Talker I have one and use it. Strap it over my right forearm and I can use it while at full-draw. Also have an older smaller grunt tube that I use sparingly cause it has a higher-pitch and is louder.
johnf
Re: H.S. True Talker I got one this year and love it (after the tire taste goes away ) I've called in several small bucks, a few doe and with the help of the "lil can" a very nice 10pt. who stayed behind the bushes while bow hunting. unioncountyslayer
Re: H.S. True Talker I've had one for several years now and love it. Very easy to use and had good success with it. Plus it's quiet with the rubber coating, not clanging and banging when it hits a metal stand.

[/ QUOTE ] Might skip it and try something else Chris. Honestly I am not as impressed with the call as I expected to be given all I heard about it. It has got a decent tone, but not really any better than the knight and hale ez grunter in my opinion.
Guest samueljm
Re: H.S. True Talker I bought this call and have called in only smaller bucks with it here in Virginia. The thing I like most about it is that its not as strong a grunt as some tubes. I think this is key for here in VA b/c the stronger grunts to me says big mature deer and I dont believe we have as many of those here as say Iowa. So for the Virginia hardwoods i think it is absolutely perfect combo of soft deep grunts to lure in all types of deer. I also like it b/c of the rubber construction but not that funky smell
AdvantageTimberLou
Re: H.S. True Talker I like mine and also use the "Hands Free" A-way outdoors Bowgrunter plus, that is a great call too. You can be at full draw and use it, inhale type call and will not freeze up. The true talker has a sweet sound to, as for the new tire smell, let it air out and it will be fine! That call has a deep grunt to it and has called in deer for me. Used it yesterday with great results. I made it sound like a goose call a few times, so I'm still learning, but man, the deep grunt is the best IMHO. Everytime I did that yesterday I got a reaction.
