Shaun_300
I found the next rifle I'm going to get, just have to start calling around to the few places in this area that sell guns, and hopefully I can find one or get one ordered in. This would be a sweet little gun to shoot wolves and deer with! Remington Model Seven CDL, I'd get the .260 Rem.... http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/centerfire_rifles/model_seven/model_seven_CDL_specs.asp
kooter
Re: Next one on the wishlist... i think my next rifle is going to be a cdl in 270 or 25.06. I love the looks of the cdl.
AJ
Re: Next one on the wishlist... Yep, and the .260 is a great cartridge. It's an outstanding deer round also.
Shaun_300
Re: Next one on the wishlist... Just got off the phone with Quinte Sports down in Belleville, ON. (2.5 hours south of here, 1.5 hours east of Toronto) they don't have that gun in that caliber, the one they had they actually sold today. It'd take 4-6 weeks to get one in, which isn't too bad.. (just in time for Christmas. ) So I'm gonna think about it over the next few days and make the decision. Any experience or info about this gun would be appreciated. drkillemquick
Re: Next one on the wishlist... Hey Shaun there is another new hunting store in Belleville called Carra outdoors. Website www.carraoutdoors.com You could always try them and see if they have one in! (pnone # 613-966-0020) By the way the original owner of Quinte Outdoor sports sold, so it's under new management! Just got off the phone with them, customer service sure isn't as good as Quinte Sports. They said they didn't have any and they'd have to call Remington for a price. When I called Quinte they got right on it, got me a price and availability right away. Do you know where abouts it is in Belleville? I'll have to stop by next time I'm down there to check it out. But for the gun buying, I think I'm gonna stick to Quinte Sports, that's where I bought my Browning BLR, they were great and gave me about $50 off of what they were asking. Thanks for the info! rifleman25
Re: Next one on the wishlist... .260 is a fine round. Like recoil and alot of wallop on the business end. My sister has killed many deer and antelope with hers. She even took a 6' 2" bruin with it. Excellent choice.
bearcat
Re: Next one on the wishlist... I would really like to have a Remington 700 Stainless Fluted Sendero II in 300 RUM. My second choice would be the model 700 XCR in either 300 RUM or 300 Win. Mag. I have priced both at the gun shops close to home. The Sendero SF II is about $960 and the XCR is about $740. I guess they will have to remain on the wish list a little while longer.
