Jeramie
Ive wanted a 20ga for some time. Honestly, I have a closet full of shotguns including several 12ga's and even a 28ga. What im lacking is a 20ga. I would really like and O/U to play with. Ive seen a lot of O/U's on the market for under $300 such as the Mossberg. Are these complete junk? Id basically take it rabbit, squirrel, and occasionally quail hunting. Again, this isn't a primary or even a turkey gun, just small game. I love the way an O/U looks but spending the Big money on one just cant happen. What about these cheaper guns?
clayman
Re: Cheaper O/U\'s? I've heard good reviews on the Stoeger Condor. One popular outdoors magazine has called it a future classic. You say it's just for "occassional" use. I'd say you can't go wrong spending $300 on an OU that's only going to see limited use.
drkillemquick
Re: Cheaper O/U\'s? My dad grew up with double barrel shotguns and loves them, he wanted a couple that he could hunt with and wouldn't cry if he nicked them up some. He bought a couple stoegers and they were fairly cheap and he LOVES them.
huntinsonovagun
Re: Cheaper O/U\'s? I've wondered about the H&R O/U's. I kinda like the way they look. They're no $20K shotgun by any means, but they're not bad looking. Anyone know anything about them????
Jeramie
Re: Cheaper O/U\'s? Ive seen the same gun Ryan. Arent they around $300? H&R Makes a good affordable gun so thats another to consider.
Strut10
Re: Cheaper O/U\'s? I looked at the Mossberg Silver Reserve fairly closely......took it apart.......the whole 9 yards. I have not shot one. But, from what I can see, as a hunting gun, it's well worth the asking price.
Jeramie
Re: Cheaper O/U\'s? That is 110% what I wanted to hear Strut! I never shoot skeet and definately not comp. This would be a hunting gun only..
wyohunter
Re: Cheaper O/U\'s? i have a stoeger 12 ga, i was always a autoloader type, then tried this o/u...yes i struggled with it infield for a few days, because i never shot one before and well excuse excuses right...lol anyways its been trouble free and at times i cant seem to miss with it, i highly reccommend it
