Guest guess Posted November 6, 2006 Report Share Posted November 6, 2006 I took Michelle into a new area to try and get her a buck ,I haven't done any scouting there at this year.The wind was blowing 15 to 25 MPH it was warm and getting stormy.We made four dry stands rattling and grunting nothing not even a yearling.Then at last light we decided to try one last time,we were out on the prairie over looking a draw.As soon as I rattled I saw a nice buck pop up about 120 yards out ,Michelle was looking hard but couldn't see him then he disappeared the same as he appeared ,Michelle handed me her 7 mag so I could try and locate him again,I kept grunting while I looked,but he was gone.Just about the time I was going to throw in the towel I caught movement to my far right almost down wind of us,it was another buck.It spotted me about the same time I spotted him blew and took off,I quickly sized him up as a shooter and he made his last mistake ,He slowed to steady trot.When he did I squeezed the trigger hitting him in the shoulder,he ran about 80 yards and piled up!
