Either way, the party in the majority will likely have no more than a 5 or 6 seat lead. I also have another prediction: Watch for the legal challenges in every close race where electronic ballots are used. It may take a month or more for some of these races to get sorted out. Was hearing early on this morning in the senate race between Corker and Ford, that Ford was complaining that there were problems with voting machines in the Memphis area. Now I am hearing the dems are going to court to keep the polls open late. Pretty sure the house seat for us will go to the incumbent republican. I checked in on CNN this morning and there wasn't even a mention of voting anywhere on the page period. I think they are sensing a loss and are starting to gripe about the process. Funny, the Republicans clearly were able to get through it. My favorite is VOTER INTIMIDATION. WTH? Do you think that if someone walked up to a voter at a polling place (presumably because of their race) and said "you need to leave" or "I need to see some photo ID" or whatever, that the Democratic voter wouldn't raise heck? Maybe the reason that most democratic voters claim intimidation is because being in any one place for any length of time increases the odds of them being apprehended! Nuff said. New [/ QUOTE ] Where i live, i am pretty sure we HAVE to show ID when we go to vote(i always have been asked). They claim that it only benefits that rich. Only, I received a $1,000 credit per child because of Bush along with the prebate. I am not rich. The dems plan on taking that away. That's a $2,000 per year tax increase when the cuts expire. The dam#$#@ people of the US are so dumb they can't see through the lies and the hype. "CUT SPENDING" in Washington doesn't mean that less money will be spent. They are talking about cutting the GROWTH of the money spent. We deserve everything that happens to us. We have gone from a strong willed, independent populous to one that wants the government to take care of them regardless of the cost or the result. Three kids for me buddy, that is $3000, and we are also by no means rich, but benefited from the tax cuts, and since I left my job to stay home with the kids and we are now on one income this is going to really hurt us. In case anyone forgets, John Kerry also made it known back in his bid in 04 that these same tax breaks you and I got were only for the rich and some people were so misinformed and or ignorant that they did not realize that they themselves were benefitting from these very cuts he intended to take away. Do not understand how some people think, it floors me. I had posted something in here before a few weeks ago in another thread about Rangles position on the tax cuts with my very same fears. It is no secret the dems stance on taxes. He came right out and said they were not needed on camera. The voters of this country either through ignorance or just plain stupidity really did it to themselves and to you and to me too. Now we will just have to see how this over time will play into effect on the economy and other aspects of this country and how it prospers or doesn't. They buy and repeat this taxcuts for the top 1% garbage and like you said reap the benefits themselves. Ask one of said idiots how much they paid in taxes last year and they probably would say something like "none, I got a refund". Idiots. Wait though until that CTC expires and their taxes jump 1, 2, 3 or more thousand dollars a year and watch them gripe. We have Al Qaeda nipping at our heels, China building up what will amount to a larger military than us, Russia constantly undermining our efforts worldwide, Chavez, Iran, and North Korea.....and we have the gall to go elect someone Speaker of the House who says that we aren't at war with Al Qaeda right after 9/11....despite the Fatwa against us. They could start a conventional war and march 2-3 million troops into a slaughter and never feel it. They are building secret nuclear subs, nukes, and other military infrastructure. I don't think people understand how quickly we could end up at war with China. We swore to protect Taiwan form China should they invade. That could easily start a nuclear exchange.
