Chrud
Re: go #8 Hendrick is lucky Jimmie has rebounded in the Chase. Kyle Busch has no business being in the Chase. Julie Gordon is way past his prime. Jimmie usually chokes under high pressure, but has been pretty good in the Chase. I'd like to see the 8 win it, but my money is on 17. VermontHunter
Re: go #8 [ QUOTE ] Julie Gordon is way past his prime. [/ QUOTE ] Really Matt ?? .... this is why he's sitting in the 6th. spot in points. What's up with this Julie thing anyhow ?? If I had to pick a driver to win a race for me it sure would be Gordon over Jr. Jr. is coming into his own,,, but he still has mountians to climb before he even comes close to Gordon's accomplishments in NASCAR.... So what do you say we get past this Julie thing ...
Chrud
Re: go #8 It wasn't directed at you Luke. Jul.....Jeff's prime was winning several races a year and winning Championships...the late '90's. Sure he's in the Chase but he isn't close to what he was years ago. I don't have anything to get past, I was just giving my opinion on the Hendrick cars in the Chase. Never said 8 is the car I'd pick to win a race. I'd go with 20. VermontHunter
Re: go #8 One interesting thing tho Matt,, where would the 8 and 24 be in points this year if they hadn't been invovled in someone elses wrecks this season ?? But really tho, think about it. I know it's part of racing, but I think the 8 and 24 would be the top 2 if it weren't for that fact.. Can Jeff race like he did 5-6 years ago ?? Yep, I do... and this is where he's lacking in my opinion, he can't adjust to the new style of racing, like the younger drivers have... Don't get me wrong,, everyone seems to think I dislike the 8,,, this is far from the truth. Dale Jr. is going to win more than his share of championships, he's just that talented. But Jeff has already been there, and deserves a little respect for his abilities on the track... OFF the track well, he needs to just go silent....
