Great mornig! But no deer...

I got out early and set up my climber. This property hasn't been hunted yet this yr. I've only been out there once which was last night before today. So, i'm set up and i'm hearing something coming (sounds like a deer or a few deer) then i see 3 coons and i hate those things. Then i look down the hollow to see a doe. Then I heard the deepest grunt i'd ever heard. It was a really low sounding grunt so i thought it would be a nice older buck. So i'm looking through the binocs and see nothing besides the doe. Then he appeared, a nice shiny, white racked buck, as far as I could tell through the binocs he was an 8pt. maybe 9 with about a 16-17" spread. A definate shooter for this area and for me. So i give a few grunts and the doe comes towards me and he's right behind her. Then i see another doe, he wasn't really chasin either of em just hangin with em. So the first doe comes within 10yrds. of me and this is the doe he was followin and i'm goin nuts. He stayed about 50 yrds. from me though as the doe fed around me, then she went back toward him and he chased her arond for about 5 min. and then the 3 deer bed down about 60 yrds. away. They bedded for about 45 min. and then got up and walked out the hill away from me. I tried grunting, bleating, snort-n-wheez, and after they were out of sight tried a little light rattling to draw him back and nothing. I had to leave the woods early cuz i had class and i can't hunt again till friday morning, but i know exactly where i'll be. Then on my way outta the woods i walk up on 2 doe and a 4pt., the buck stood there while i was about 20 yrds. for like 5 min., i even acted like i was drawing my bow just to see what he'd do cuz he already saw me anyway and he didn't even spook. I wasn't lookin to shoot him and had to get out of there so i kept walkin and they just kinda fed out along the hill. This was probably my best hunt this yr. without killing one, I don't know why everyone in the world doesn't hunt!! Hope to post again about getting that nice buck or maybe a bigger one on friday!
